To celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, the Political Work Department of the Central Military Commission organized the shooting of the six-episode TV documentary series "The Motherland is Calling" with the approval of the Central Military Commission. The series will be broadcast on CCTV's comprehensive channel one episode per day at 8:00 pm from September 28, replayed on the Defense & Military Channel and other channels as well as simultaneously on the websites of central news organizations, key portals and xuxi.cn on the Internet. Combining history facts and reviews through storytelling, the series focuses on the outstanding contributions made by the military to safeguarding the national sovereignty, security and interests of development in last 70 years since the founding of the People's Republic of China under the absolute leadership of the Communist Party of China, highlights the achievements and appearance of the military's development under the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialist Economy with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and Xi Jinping's thought on strengthening the military since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and solemnly presents the sacrificed and dedication of generations of revolutionary soldiers to the long-term stability, prosperity and strength of the motherland. The series consists of 6 episodes, namely "Mission", "Loyalty", "Blood", "Home Country", "Casting Sword" and "Peace", each lasting for 50 minutes. On the occasion of celebrating the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, the grand launch of this TV documentary series will further the glorifying New China and its endeavors in a new era, and inspire both the military and civilians to enhance their patriotism, strengthen their ideals to serve the country, stay true to our original aspiration and founding mission, and continue marching forward courageously towards the ambitious goal of realizing the Chinese dream and powerful armed forces.
